Shoryukens the PSP, Super Street Fighter IV

Among the first games shown on the last run of the hand of Nintendo, Super Nintendo was 3DS Street Fighter IV. PlayStation Many fans were wondering why there has not SSFIV PlayStation Portable version was announced, to see how they put the original Street Fighter IV Capcom on the iPhone. Yoshinori Ono has revealed to Famitsu Capcom why it is so and could prove even more for the 2 PSP needs to happen sooner rather than later.

This week the latest issue of Famitsu features an interview with Mr. Ono and he just said that the PSP or the DS could run a portable version of Super Street Fighter IV. Which begs the question … Why not? Capcom has decided to make an iPhone version of SFIV, and seeing that Capcom likes to bring their games to every console ever made, why no love for the PSP? This also raises another question .. What happened to the PSP version of Resident Evil that was announced on E3?

While the rest of the gaming world is enamored with the 3DS, perhaps it is time for Sony to unveil the PSP2. I mean, what can they lose at this point? Sure the PSP sells well in their homeland of Japan, but elsewhere, the PSP easily ranks last among sales and it’s disappointing if you ask me. The PSP can do so much more than the DS could ever dream of and has a system full of stellar games, yet Sony doesn’t lower their standards by letting loads of crappy shovel-ware flood their handheld system.

Reach 1 million downloads – PS3/PSP Minis

Sony pronounces that their PSP, PS3 Minis have reached to a decent level boasting of one million downloads. The Mini is considered the game mode at low price of the PlayStation Network at home or handheld.

Although not say whether the number includes free demos, but if so, the number is even more trivial than it has been done. However, it was alleged that a mere 1.7 percent of all PSP users have downloaded a game of Mini, which, when allocated 51 percent of iPhone owners and 54 percent of owners BlackBerry.

Minis offered nine months ago, and there are more than 60 million PSP owners, of all kinds.

In the meanwhile among the list of 86 games available, PocketGamer lists out the following 10 best sellers which are: Age of Zombies (Halfbrick), Monopoly (EA), Fieldrunners(Subatomic), Zombie Tycoon (Frima), Bloons
(Hands-on), Spot The Differences! (Sanuk), Pinball Fantasies (Cowboy Rodeo), Mahjongg Artifacts: Chapter 2 (G5), Yetisports Pengu Throw (Xendex) and Breakquest (Beatshapers).

‘Possible’ On the DS Or PSP, Final Fantasy MMO

If Square Enix can be persuaded to release of “Final Fantasy XIII” on the Xbox 360, what’s to stop them from getting a Final Fantasy MMO onto portable platforms like the DS, 3DS or PSP? Not much, judging from what one the higher-ups at SE had to say when asked if he thought a portable FF MMO would be possible.

“Yes, I think it is certainly possible,” senior vice president of Square Enix software, Hiromichi Tanaka told VideoGamer.com. “The DS and PSP both networks have implemented, so it is certainly doable.”

If a game comes out, finally, is not likely to be a port, but from the PC, but I do not necessarily want someone anyway.

“The CPU of mobile consoles are much lower spec compared to other consoles, or even to PC, so that could be a difficulty if you want to simply transfer a console-based MMO onto a mobile machine,” Tanaka explained. “But if it’s built specifically for DS or PSP that’s definitely possible, even on the current technology.”

Nintendo already has an impressive set of third party support for the 3DS. MMO or not, you have to wonder what Square Enix is interested in providing. His name appeared on a slide with Capcom, Sega and Activision Nintendo E3 press conference, so that the path may already be open.

Sony Said No Plans For 3D PSP

Sony said it did not intend to release a 3D version of his game handheld, PlayStation Portable.

It has been speculated that Sony will release a 3D version of the PSP to compete with Nintendo 3DS, announced earlier this month at the E3 conference.

Scott Rohde, vice president of Sony Worldwide Studios, has made it clear they did not intend to create a project for a portable console like the Nintendo 3D 3DS.

Rohde said: “No, no plans for that. We just chose to focus on the big 3D in the home. It’s important to us to push that out there and be on the bleeding edge of it.”

When asked about a potential PSP 2 device, he responded: “Its just not something were announcing right now. Its just as simple as that. Its all I can tell you.”
