Run UMD ISO Rips – PSP Go Hacked

Sony is better to hire numerologists, for 2011 portends bad news for electronics central Japan. First, some hackers found a crack, or rather a huge hole in the armor of the PS3, and soon another group of hackers created the first custom firmware for the console as a proof of concept. There seems no respite for Sony PSP as a hacker called “Liquidzigong” managed to get the Prometheus ISO Loader works on the PSP handheld GB. For non-geeks, ISO loader is a program that allows the PSP Go – it lacks a UMD drive – ripped games run games based on original UMD.

Hackers, who called themselves “Virtuous Flame” and “Coldbird” developed a homebrew enabler for PSP firmwares 6.31 and 6.35, which was then employed by “Liquidzigong” to run his ISO loader. The legality on this issue is all grey, because this can be used to play back-ups of the UMD games that you own or even otherwise, which is technically piracy.

Needless to say that Sony will not be satisfied with this development, but stuck with no way to run your collection of UMD in the PSP system, Go again, they see a way to run UMD ISO boots instead of buying downloads digital games that have already paid.

Predictions and Rumors, PSP 2 Shows

Predictions and Rumors, PSP 2 Shows

Sony wants to compete with Ipad. It is no secret. A portable PlayStation 2 could be about to join the fight soon, however, advertising campaigns and presentation E3 may already be in the works.

The term “PSP 2″ has appeared in several places, including an online program coordinator Muslims Hilke ProTV, a 1UP podcast that mentioned it in connection with E3 and MCV, where Lazard Capital analyst Colin Sebastian predicted the handheld system’s imminent arrival.

Sip this rumor with caution, as AtomFire Productions director Dominic Mason also had a PSP 2 listing on his LinkedIn page, but told Connected Consoles that it was just an old reference to the PSPgo. A new Sony handheld device being announced just six months after the PSPgo landed in stores would be a quick turnaround. That’s not to say such timing wouldn’t be unprecedented, however, since Nintendo DSi U.S. Release of XL and the announcement was almost synchronized 3DS.

We know, as soon as June, if a PSP 2 is seen on stage at E3, however, and if Sony sticks to its recent commitment to UMD, it could be very versatile piece of equipment.
